About Fitbit
Fitbit is a brand and an ecosystem, not a single device. It is now part of Google: fitbit.com redirects to the Google Store, the hardware is sold as "Google Fitbit", and the Fitbit app has been renamed the Google Health app. Specifications differ from model to model, so treat this page as an overview of the range rather than a review of one product.
The current line-up spans several form factors and price points. Google lists the screenless Fitbit Air from $99.99, the Fitbit Charge 6 at $119.95, and the Pixel Watch 5 from $399.99, alongside the Inspire, Versa, Sense and Ace models. Battery life varies accordingly — Google quotes up to 7 days for Fitbit Air and Charge 6, and up to 40 hours for the Pixel Watch 5. Compatibility varies too: some devices work with both Android and iOS, while the Pixel Watch line is Android-only.
The Google Health app is free to install and carries in-app purchases. The paid tier, Google Health Premium, starts at $9.99 and adds coaching features built with Gemini. Some of those features are limited to certain countries.
If you are choosing between models, the decision is mostly about form factor, screen and platform rather than about the tracking itself.
