Phones

What kind of phone are you looking for?

The phones here separate on the things you live with for years rather than on a spec sheet: which software they run and how long it keeps arriving, what the cameras are built to do, how big they are in a hand, and whether the screen folds. Every figure comes from the manufacturer's own documentation — how we evaluate products.

  • Best Wearables for iPhoneSeven of the ten wearables we track state official iPhone support. Three of them are not watches at all, and two of the watches are not made by Apple — which is the whole point of the page.
  • Best Wearables Without a SubscriptionEight of the ten wearables we track work fully without a recurring fee. That is not the same as having no paid tier at all: some sell optional extras, and the distinction is what this page is about.
  • Best Wearables for Long Battery LifeSix of the ten wearables we track are quoted by their makers in days rather than hours — two watches, two rings and two screenless bands. They are not interchangeable, and the gap between them is not battery.
